To report a case of cruelty or neglect please contact the RSPCA’s National Helpline on 0300 1234 999 – lines open 7am to 10pm 7 days a week.

If your own pet (or an animal you are responsible for) is ill or injured you need to call your own veterinary surgery for advice and attention. Outside normal working hours, all veterinary surgeons will provide access to a veterinary emergency service, so listen carefully to any answer machine messages. If you are not registered with a veterinary surgery, you can find telephone numbers for local veterinary surgeons in the telephone directory or use Find-a-Vet on the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons website.
