Derby

This beautiful lady is called Derby and is about 12 years old. She is a sweet, gentle girl who can be a little timid initially but soon gains confidence. Once settled, she is extremely affectionate and friendly, adoring fuss from her humans! As she is longer haired, she will need some help to keep her coat in tip top condition. Luckily, she enjoys being brushed so it can be a nice way to bond with her. Derby would like a quiet new home without too much going on. She may be able to live with children of secondary school age, as long as they get on when they meet at the shelter. Derby would prefer to be the only pet in her new home. She is still a playful girl and likes to explore the outdoors. She has been known to hunt on the odd occasion. As she is an older lady, Derby would qualify for our ‘Golden Oldies Veterinary Scheme’ where we may be able to help towards any age-related costs in the future.
