Harry

Hi everyone my name is Harry, I am a sweet and gentle 8 year old male Patterdale! I can be a nervous when it comes to physical touch, but with time and patience, I am learning to trust people and becoming braver in the presence of those I feel safe with (treats are the way to my heart, so if you have lots of those it definitely helps!)

While I’m still learning about social skills with other dogs during outings, I thrive in calm environments and will need to be the only dog in the home. I could also live happily with a dog-savvy cat, with slow introductions to make sure that they are comfortable with me.

With a loving family who understands my needs, I’d be sure to make an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion. I could potentially live with older children (12+) who can be make me feel comfortable by understanding my body language- pending a meet here at the shelter.
