From Summer Success to Festive Fundraising

After a busy season of shows, fundraising and community events, Little Valley is celebrating record support – and looking ahead to the Winter Draw, Christmas appeals, and the many ways you can help animals in our care this Autumn.

What a wonderful summer it has been! We have loved getting out and about across Devon, from the County Show to Axe Vale and Okehampton. Meeting so many of you, seeing your adopted dogs again, sharing your passion for animal welfare, and handing out plenty of treats was a real highlight for our team. Events like these give us the chance to connect with our community, explain the difference between RSPCA Devon and the national RSPCA, and raise vital funds for animals in our care. Do you know of a community event we could attend next year? We’d love to hear from you.

We are also thrilled to share that our Summer Draw raised a record £4,122! Thank you for supporting Little Valley and congratulations to our many lucky winners. But the fun does not stop here. Our second and final draw of the year is now open: the Winter Draw. It is the perfect chance to win a treat in time for the festive season, so do not miss out!

Alongside events and draws, it has been inspiring to see so many of you supporting us online. As we continue to improve our website and make donating easier, we are seeing more people setting up regular gifts and making larger one-off donations. Every single contribution, big or small, makes a lasting difference and allows us to plan ahead with confidence.

We would also like to thank those of you who have chosen to leave a gift in your will. These special legacies now make up over 70 per cent of our income and without them, Little Valley simply could not continue. If you have included RSPCA Devon in your will, or are considering it, please do get in touch at giftsinwills@rspca-littlevalley.org.uk

Finally, as Christmas approaches, there are plenty of ways to get involved – from buying our Christmas cards and stocking fillers, to entering the Winter Draw, donating in lieu of gifts, or taking part in our Shoe Box appeal. However you choose to support us this festive season, please know that every act of kindness helps.
