Discover the Benefits of Adopting Senior Pets with Golden Oldies Veterinary Support!
Welcoming an older furry friend into your home is a heartwarming journey filled with unique joys. Senior pets offer a special kind of companionship characterised by wisdom and tranquillity, enriching your life in countless ways. At Little Valley Animal Shelter, we understand the value of these golden oldies, which is why we’re excited to introduce our Golden Oldies Veterinary Support Scheme (GOVS) designed to make their care even more accessible and rewarding for their new families.
How GOVS Works:
When you adopt a dog or cat aged 10 years or older from our shelter, you automatically become a member of the GOVS family. This means you’re eligible for support specifically tailored to age-related veterinary needs, ensuring your pet receives the care they deserve as they gracefully navigate their golden years.
What’s Covered?:
GOVS covers age-related veterinary treatments such as regular medication for conditions like thyroid or arthritis. While routine procedures like booster vaccinations and emergency care aren’t included, rest assured that your senior companion’s specialised needs are our priority.
Making a Claim:
Should your furry friend require veterinary care, simply settle the bill with your veterinarian and complete the user-friendly GOVS Claim Form. Attach a copy of the vet invoice detailing your pet’s treatment and the amount paid, then send it to us via email at info@rspca-littlevalley.org.uk or by post to the attention of the GOVS Secretary at RSPCA Little Valley Animal Shelter, Black Hat Lane, Bakers Hill, Exeter, Devon EX2 9TA.
Prompt Payment:
We understand the importance of timely assistance, which is why payments are processed swiftly via bank transfer within 14 days of receiving your claim.
Embrace the joys of senior pet adoption with confidence, knowing that GOVS is here to support you every step of the way. Together, let’s make every moment with your golden oldie truly special!
