Our New Rabbitry – A Bright Future for Small Animals at Little Valley
At RSPCA Little Valley, we’re proud to announce The Warren — our long-overdue, purpose-built rabbitry that will transform the lives of the rabbits and guinea pigs in our care. For too long, we’ve made do with converted spaces. Now, it’s time to build something truly special — and we need your help to do it.
Our current rabbitry is based in a former cattery, retrofitted to meet basic standards. While it’s served us well, it’s no longer enough. Rabbits need room to hop, play, and explore. They deserve light, fresh air, and purpose-designed environments — and so do our staff.
Provide spacious, modern accommodation for up to 30 rabbits
Include improved outdoor areas with level access — no more steps
Use energy-efficient materials and smart design to keep temperatures just right
Give our staff the space and tools they need to care for animals quickly and compassionately
Bring our final animal area up to the highest possible welfare standards
This is the final piece in our decade-long mission to modernise every animal area at Little Valley. Once complete, every rabbit, guinea pig, cat and dog will have the best possible environment to recover, rehabilitate, and prepare for a new home.
Little Valley has served Devon’s animals and communities for over 30 years. As we grow to meet the needs of more animals across the region, we must also grow our facilities. The Warren is part of our commitment to future-proofing the shelter — building not just for today, but for the next thirty years.
