Duchess is treated like Royalty in her new home!
What a lovely cat Duchess is.
She quickly adapted to life in our home, and now goes by the name ‘Fluff’ (And dozens of variations on that!) She has slept with us on our bed, on the floor, in the loft… everywhere but the bed we got for her, it seems! She is sweet and affectionate, following us about and purring loudly after even the briefest of pettings. She loves chasing a bouncy ball about the house, and has mad moments every evening after dinner when she goes darting from the ground floor to the loft, and back again several times- she involves us in this, hiding from us, then dashing off when found! She has many favourite spots and windowsills she likes to sit, but strangely enough, always finds her way to the kitchen whenever we’re there- we’re sure it’s because she loves us, and not just because we might give her a treat!
Thank you for all that you’ve done for her. She is the sweetest cat we could ask for, and playful enough to always be a joy to be around. Her eyes have healed up well from the operation, one’s still a bit weepy but we’re taking good care of her and keeping on top of things. I’m sure her sad looking eyes have earned her a few extra treats so far.
When adopting Duchess, your staff enquired about a previous pet that a family member of ours adopted- it’s clear your staff don’t just work hard for the well-being of your animals, but that you all care passionately about them and what happens to them after they leave your shelter.
So I’m happy to report Duchess has now also found herself a home where she’s very much loved and cared for. She seems very happy around the house, but her next adventure will be when we get the catflap installed next week! Thank you again for all you have done for us, and for making the adoption process so straight-forward. We wish you the best in finding loving homes for all your remaining animals.
